You guys… I’m so excited about this post!
If you know me at all, you’ll know I’m a busybee. I always have 47 things going on at once… and I’ve been that way ever since I can remember. So… why NOT add something else into the mix?

A little summary: We had a baby 3 months ago, my husband just opened up a craft brewery + kitchen 2 weeks ago (Counterpart Brewing!), we teach fitness classes twice a week, I’m working on programming for my Stroller Bootcamp (coming May 2019), I still am making malas/teethers (and donating all the proceeds to animal rescue)… but yet… that just wasn’t quite enough! haha

I’ll just leave this here, because it’s too cute not to include! ๐ LOOK AT THOSE EYELASHES ps!!
Enter – Beautycounter!! I’ve been going back and forth for quite some time now trying to decide what I wanted to do for a(nother) side hustle. The malas are so much fun and fulfilling because I can help animals, but I donate 100% of the proceeds (so we don’t actually make anything on those)… and our fitness classes certainly aren’t a huge money maker for us, but we love them!! I figured if I could do something like this and make some extra cash… sweet!! If I decide it’s not really for me, I can still get a nice little discount on the products and meet some awesome ladies in the process. #winning!

I have some friends that have been in direct sales for a while now, and seem to really like it/do well at it. It’s all about the approach! I have always been a little bit of a pusher (you guys know this – haha!!) but only for things I really love and truly believe will make people better ! IE: Probiotics, high intensity, short + sweet workouts, animal rescue etc! And I try not to be too preachy with things at the same time (I’m vegan, and I’m not shy about telling people this – but I don’t usually talk about why I’m vegan or why I believe it’s the healthiest option – unless I’m asked). You get the point. The reason I mention this ties into the reason I chose to join Beautycounter.
I’ve been pretty careful what I put in (and on) my body for a while now, trying to pay attention to ingredients and make good choices. Since becoming pregnant with Raeleigh, those choices became even more important to me… and now that she’s here I try to use the cleanest and gentlest ingredients on her as well. This is why Beautycounter is a great choice for me and my tiny fam ๐

Beautycounter has a TON of product options. The skincare line is extensive and really fantastic with options for EVERYONE. Super sensitive skin, acne prone, dry or aging skin… There’s something for everyone. The make up is also really great as well. High performing products that feel really amazing on your skin AND are working to make your skin healthier while you wear it. I’ve never been a huge make up person – I like it, I’m not very good at doing it, but I like to know what I’m putting on my skin every day is actually helping improve my skin VS just hiding imperfections and clogging my pores.
Beautycounter ALSO has a line of products formulated for babies + kids. This was honestly one of the biggest sellers for me, because as I mentioned, I do try to be cautious about what I use on Raeleigh, and she’s showing signs of sensitive skin and eczema already (just like her mama).

The mission of Beautycounter is: to get safer products into the hands of everyone. Now, that’s a mission I can get behind. The company has banned more than 1500 harmful or questionable ingredients (and called this ‘The Never List’).

The products are NEVER tested on animals, and many of the products are vegan. There’s a really awesome blog post here that breaks down which products are vegan, which aren’t, and if they aren’t – what ingredient is in the product that makes it not vegan. Super helpful!
Another thing I really love is the transparency of the company. The FAQ page is really great and covers a ton of topics! You can check that out here if you’re interested.
I am not going to go on and on in this post (any more than I already have! ha). I just wanted to share that I had joined, as it’s something I am really excited about, and there will be more posts to follow soon focusing more on the products and what’s available! I will host a facebook event before too long for anyone that is interested in learning more about the products and perhaps checking some out!
My blog and my instagram will still definitely be heavily focused on fitness, as it always has been… but I’m all about holistic wellness – and that is anything from the food (and drink!) you put in your body, what you lather all over it, and what you do it keep it moving and healthy every day! So I see this being a really great missing piece to what I post about already! Plus, the older I get, the more aware I am of my aging skin… and these products feel SO amazing on my skin, and I can’t wait to see the transformation after using them for a while longer!!
If you’re still with me, and you want to have a look at what Beautycounter has to offer – you can check it out here!
As always, thanks for reading! Have an amazing rest of the week and weekend!
XO
Andrea
