Friday Faves – Consignment shopping, gluten free beer find & a new tea

Weeekendddddd!!!! And happy APRIL FOOLS! Holy… April.

I don’t know about everywhere else, but I DO know that this last week in Vancouver has been AMAZING this week. Like SO good. I am LOVING busting out all my spring clothes. Dresses, boots, and today, I even wore OPEN toe shoeeeessss!

Anyway, moving along. Here are a few of the things I am crushing on this week!

Consignment shopping!!! OMGGGG. How have I not done this before? I mean, I’ve been to ‘Thrift Stores’ and ‘Value Village’ before – but never to a fancier ‘consignment’ type store. I recently went to The Main Exchange and found some super cute pieces. I wore this combo this week and got so many compliments. The dress is from the store – the Fryes were bought used in the winter.

One of the things I love about this place – this is where Jillian Harris  brings all of her stuff that she’s finished with. I LOVE her and her style. Most of her stuff fits me (I know because anything I see in there that was hers, I pretty much try on!) And Miranda, the owner of the shop – is SO clever and puts little tags that say ‘From the closet of Jillian Harris’ on anything that Jill brings in. Glorious! Definitely go and check their space out if you haven’t already.

Ghostfish Brewing Grapefruit IPA (Gluten free!!!)

We picked up this while we were in Bellingham at Elizabeth Station (of course!)
I am gluten sensitive, so I love finding new gluten free beers to try. Honestly, I haven’t been that excited about too many thus far. THIS. IPA…. OMG. The grapefruit is SUCH a nice touch, since IPAs often have a grapfruity, citrus note anyway… and the fact that this beauty is gluten free… ! LOVE!

Emerald Ginger Chai Tea

This tea is from Teaja tea, in Yaletown. I LOVE this blend for a few reasons
1. Completely natural and organic (all their teas are!)
2. Two of my FAVE flavours (chai and ginger)
3. Green tea and ginger are both great for digestion, so these two combined with a delicious flavour make a killer combo

You can check out some of the other teas they’ve got and mine and Greg’s lovely first experience in the Teaja store here.

Anyone familiar with any of my faves this week ?

HAPPY FRIDAY y’all!
