I almost completely missed my opportunity to do my Friday Faves post! I had such a busy night last night and day today, I completely forgot!! Anyway, I’ve got a few goodies to share leading you into the weekend! Here goes!
So David’s Tea has just come out with a new line of ‘dessert teas’. Typically I’m not the biggest fan of sweeter teas…. I love a straight green or oolong. But I definitely like to try what is new, and I am a SUCKER for coconut anything, so naturally I was excited to check out the new Coconut Cream Pie. Oh my gosh you guys… there are no words to describe. Now I had this tea as a soy latte and it rocked my world!!!! But I bought some to bring home and had it as a straight tea… and it was still delicious.
A good friend of mine (who also happens to be my sisters boyfriend, Brian) has a real thing for lattes. Whenever I’m home visiting, thats the first thing he asks for is a homemade latte. He also frequents Starbucks for a miniature latte. haha. So naturally, after I had this ridiculously amazing latte, I called Brian and told him to go get one immediately.
Mission accomplished. haha He is going to be SUPER angry for me for including him in this post – but it was totally necessary! Glad you enjoyed the latte, Bri! I knew you would 🙂
Number 2. Chau Veggie Express in East Vancouver. WHOA!
I went here today with one of my accounts from work. He mentioned how amazing it was the first time he went and was excited to go back!
I only managed to snap a pic of the Taro chips that we shared (and of his beer before it disappeared) because when the entrees came out they were gone in about 4 seconds. I LOVED this place. Everything in there was vegan, and pretty much any menu item could be made gluten free. BONUS!
Number 3. Jillian Harris’ blog.
I’m sure most of you guys know who this lovely little lady is, but incase you don’t – she was on the bachelor a while ago, and then she was the bachelorette a season after that. But I didn’t really start following her blog/insta until well after that.
She’s on the shoe Love it or List it Vancouver as the interior designer, and her blog is one I read on the reg. She’s got amazing fashion sense (a little on the pricey side for me though sometimes), great recipes, and just fun posts to read all around.
I blame many of my clothing/accessories purchases on her and her instagram/blog/love it or list it outfits!
She does weekly recaps called ‘ A week in my closet‘ that shows all the outfits she wore and where they’re from. TROUBLE if you’re trying to stay on a budget and you like to read her blog! haha
Oh, and one of my fave parts about Jillian is that she’s local! Lives right here in BC (in Kelowna), but is always around Vancouver for the filming of the show! 🙂
Would love to hear your thoughts! And if there’s one thing I can leave you with this week… it’s going and trying the Coconut Cream Pie latte. Just do it.
