I can’t believe the weekend has come and [almost] gone already!!
I just wanted to share one of my absolute FAVE places to go on the North Shore called Buddha-Full. (sorry, out of town friends!)
This fab little place is at Lonsdale and 1st right near the Quay. Many of my accounts are right in this area, and I’ve slowly been converting them all to a healthier take on eating by bringing them here, instead of places with burgers and fries all the time!
Anyway.. they have tons of juices and smoothies, as well as amazing vegan, (mostly) gluten free snacks, sandwiches and salads! My fave is the tofu kale salad with this ridiculously good peanutty dressing. Gah! SO yummy.
They also have a cool program (the belly cards) that you can get, and you ‘check in’ every time you’re there. Once you get a certain amount of points, you get free things!! And it’s not unreasonable either – like some of the places you feel like you’ve been collecting points for 10 years and they finally gave you that free bottle of Dasani (thanks, jerks!). Anyway -this is totally achievable. I believe it’s 5 points every time you check in, and I think a free juice is about 60 points… so not bad!!
Today I was out and about so I swung by and picked myself up a S’well water bottle (review to come soon), and the Ganesha Greens juice (+ spirulina for extra greens!)
What a cute little pair!
Juicing is a great way to get all of those micronutrients that you might be otherwise missing out on sans juicing. I don’t have fresh pressed juice every day – but that mainly is because I don’t always have time to make it. I try to have it as often as possible – right after my warm water with lemon in the morning ๐ It’s good to also include some green smoothies in your regimen as well, because with the smoothie you’re still getting all the goodness from the greens, but you’re not losing the fibre. A balance of both is key.
Anyway, I just wanted to give some love to Buddha-Full because I’ve been there an embarrassing amount lately so naturally, it was time to blog about it!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, friends!
