Planks for Paws Recap – Part 2

Gosh – we need to thank EVERY SINGLE ONE of you that a) participated in the event itself on Saturday, and b) all of you that donated, shared our posts and told your friends, and just generally support RESCUES.

For those of you that aren’t familiar, we did this event last year (At Deer Lake) and it was a huge success. People seemed to really enjoy themselves and loved knowing their dollars were going to such a fantastic cause.

We started our day with a 45 min sweat sesh that my better half lead. 45 mins of body weight, high intensity intervals, and some partner pushing fun.

We took a quick break, and then the lovely Hillary K  taught her famous hatha yoga class to mellow everyone and stretch them out! She has such a great way with people and such a calming energy. People love her!! Plus – she’s just so adorable!!!! I always feel like the short one, but when she’s around I feel like I am 10 feet tall!!! Thanks, Hill 🙂 haha

There are honestly so many amazing shots I could spend all day sharing!

In between workouts, before all the other volunteers came, Shiloh and Kobe were getting TONS of love!! These two pups were SO well behaved it was incredible. They just sat quietly enjoying a toy or some grass, haha – they waited for someone to come over and say hello. And when someone did, they would get up with a bum wiggling tail wag and a dangling tongue ready for kisses !

I thought this was the neatest little pic, with tiny little Sprout and Meagan (her mama)…. check out her tattoo. She was an adorable little gal (at 2.5lbs I think !) with a huge personality. Loved her!

Oh and I forgot to mention in yesterdays post… thanks to the woman in Burnaby that has a thing against pitties – Global news showed up to do a little segment on the event and what we were up to! Super cool!!!

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank a good friend of mine, and rockstar Yoga instructor Hillary. This is the second year in a row she’s been a part of this event with us and it’s only getting better. People love you, Hill- and it’s obvious why!!! You kick ass!!!! For a tiny little thing you have the biggest personality and the best energy!

Another lovely lady that needs a huge thank you is my girl Glenny — she is one of our regulars at our Golds Gym class and is a very talented photographer! She offered to document the event for us, and all of these amazing shots are from her. Thanks little lady …. we greatly appreciate being able to share this day! 🙂 PS – there were no pics of you from the day, so I stole your facebook pic!!!! xo

I have one more thank you I need to include before I end this post to… my amazing better half – my biggest supporter, partner in crime, and training partner – Greggie. He always supports my ideas and visions as wacky and out there as they might be. This one though, was a good one!! And we’ve pulled it off two years in a row now 🙂

I am sure there are things I am forgetting to post, and people I am forgetting to thank and if that’s the case I am sorry!!
It’s been an insane whirlwind of a week and I am sure I’ll look back in a few and be like ‘ahh crap’ — but for now, I’m concluding the recap with one last THANK YOU to every single one of you that made this such a success!!! NOTHIN BUT LOVE for y’all!!!! xoxo

See ya next year!!

xoxo — Andrea&Greg
